Breast reconstruction
Our patented novel breast implant will provide mastectomy and lumpectomy patients with a new option for their breast reconstruction, which will not involve the implantation of synthetic materials and associated dis-benefits.
Our implant is built from natural proteins found in breast tissue. It can be used in conjunction with fat and stem cells from the patient to help rebuild the breast. As the patient’s own breast tissue grows into the implant, the implant will be absorbed, leaving behind a natural breast, made with the patient’s own body tissue. The implant is made from proteins which naturally occur in breast tissue and will therefore be metabolised by the body as the new breast tissue is formed.
Bone reconstruction
Our patented novel composite bone graft will be used for the treatment of bone defects. This graft contains two key components which, in combination, will mimic the molecular structure of natural bone:
1) a porous natural matrix which has been proven to generate new blood vessels, which is essential for the growth of new bone, and
2) a mineral found naturally in bone which plays an important role in giving the material its osteogenic (bone-forming) properties.
The new material will be suitable for filling bone defects anywhere in the body, including in dental applications. The bone graft is replaced by the patient’s own bone and absorbed.
